Selective Rearing

Selective Rearing

An experiential paradigm where an organism usually an animal was brought up from birth or when the eyes opened, under circumstances where the optical experiences are limited. the neurons respond to these stimuli and will become more predominate due to the neuroplasticity. Behavioral and neural responses showed development of neurons for environmental stimuli. This leads to lasting alterations in the design and performance of the optical system.

I chose this because i am a psychology major and this does interest me, i feel that this happens with more than just kittens. Parents do use Rearing Influence on their kids which is very similar to selective rearing. Rearing Influence is The influence cast in terms of parental behavior, or parental guidance. Most would not disagree when it is said that children very in the degree to whether or not they are affected by particular styles of "parental rearing" or parenting in some aspect. Although it is said that children very in their susceptibility to rearing influence. I believe that most parent do Rear their children, they do not want them to make wrong turns or bad decisions. Who can blame them right?

I have decided to write about Phantom Limb Syndrome Because i have Phantom limb symptoms after a spinal a nerve injury.
Phantom Limb Syndrome is the perception of sensations including pin in a limb that has been amputated. It feels as if the limb is still attached to the body, because the brain continues to receive messages from nerves that originally were carried impulses from the missing limb.
The cause of this syndrome is mostly unknown although it is believed that it is the brain's attempt to reorganize its sensory information following the amputation. The brain just has to essentially rewire itself to adjust to changes.

the Phantom limb Syndrome was first described in 1552 by a french surgeon named Ambroise Paré, who would operate on wounded soldiers and would write about the patients and their pain in the amputated limbs.
